A friend at work told me that I would probably enjoy reading
a book named, "Outlander " by Diana Gabaldon. At first I was thinking
of the series where the man has this great big sword and he has to kill the
other evil immortals by cutting their heads off, which he then absorbs their
power, even though it's evil - which never made any sense to me, but I digress.
So she says, "No, it's not HIGHlander."
Now - I am intrigued. She
tells me a brief description of Outlander and all I hear are the phrases about
traveling back in time, Scottish men in kilts and Scotland in general. Okay,
I'm in so I order the book from Amazon Prime, my favorite online shopping place, and
the book arrives. I read it in one day and night. I am hooked in a bad way. When I like
something, I kind of go a little crazy so I went back to Amazon Prime and bought the
rest of the entire series. I like paper pages and my books are so worn down
now, but when I see that it just tells me how much I enjoyed them.

I have a favorite book I read every Christmas and still fall
in the floor laughing. It's called, "Skipping Christmas" by John
Grisham. It's a small little book and they made a movie about it called,
"Christmas with the Kranks." Take my advice, skip the movie and just
read the book for the holidays. My imagination was much better than on the
screen. Sorry Tim Allen.
