DRACULA - THE BLOOD IS THE LIFE Bruhahaha

Be sure and click on my Movie link above. I have compared some of the recent Dracula movies this past week.
"Welcome to my Blog. Come Freely. Go Safely. And leave some of the happiness you bring." paraphrase of Dracula by Bram Stoker.

Can this day get any better - Constantine last night and Dracula Untold today!

I must be living right or getting ready to kick the bucket. Last night I watched the premiere of NBC's Constantine and IT DID NOT DISSAPPOINT!! Blown away and completely, pleasantly surprised by it all. Music composed by none other than Bear McCreary; Storyline very well written and true to the 2005 Movie and the Hellblazer comic series; No cheesy, watered down special effects located here my friend!
The hour went by so fast it was like I blinked and it was 11 PM. All true horror buffs will want to check it out.
Today - Going to see Dracula Untold at an actual theatre!! LOL It was on IMAX but now they have some other tripe up there. Anyway, I can't wait!! If you didn't already know or care, I am a HUGE Dracula fan, only the Bram Stoker Dracula. I have listened to the audio book of Dracula by Bram Stoker for several years. It is narrated by Simon Vance - he does all voices. Somehow it soothes me to sleep. I'm sure it will take years and years of therapy to figure that one out.
Anywhoo - Today is going to be a great day!

Needed a Good Laugh Today

Today is Friday and it's all I can do to drag myself home to the couch.  Before leaving work I always think I will have energy to go out, but there it is when I walk in the door, calling to me, "Sit down for just a few minutes. It won't hurt a thing." I'm pretty sure my car's cloth driver's seat and the couch are in cahoots. It's just too coincidental. A plot, a conspiracy . . . sorry but my mind wandered off. (Fluent in Tangent remember).

My daughter called a few moments ago and if you have kids you will understand when they are working up to either asking you for money or some other crazy thing. She had wanted me to babysit while she did the Zombie Run tomorrow morning but said that her husband would watch them - I'm beginning to smell a rat. I ask her what time should I come over tomorrow, but just be aware I am going to see Dracula Untold come hell or high water. By this time she's starting to ramble. I hear my granddaughter in the background whining, "They are going to kill us mommy" which, of course, she is talking about the Zombie costume makings in the car. They film The Walking Dead close to us.

Finally, she slowly comes out with it - a guy she works with told her about an English Bulldog that needed a home, but no one would take him aka Hugo. He shows her a photo of cute little Hugo, oh and by the way he's already had knee surgery. Her husband goes to see the dog and of course has to have him because he looks exactly like UGA the mascot for the University of Georgia. There is just one little detail that was left out - Hugo has grown, 70lbs worth of growing. I asked when they got him and she meekly tells me last Sunday. Ah ha - it's all becoming clear. The kicker, however, is when I asked where they were keeping him, she says, "The laundry room."

I nearly fell off my conspiratorial couch laughing. I imagine Hugo ripping the door off the front-end loader washer/dryer. Then she sends me the photo they sent her of what he looked like. Then she sends the REAL photo of Hugo followed shortly by the photo she was shown at work. I hope her employer has pet insurance because she will most assuredly need it.

Welcome and Hello!

Finally getting out there and working on posting a blog. Be gentle with me as I am on the 'Virgin Voyage' but tips and constructive criticism is very welcome.

Getting ready for this weekend - my hubby is taking me to see @DraculaUntold - my favorite of all times. I have read the real book, and actually go to sleep most every night for the past several years listening to Bram Stoker's Dracula (unabridged of course). The reader does all the voices and it soothes me for some reason. It will take years of therapy to figure that one out. The last 'Dracula' movie featured Gary Oldman and he did a spectacular job, so this will be hard to beat.
